Gary Zimnicki Guitar Raffle

The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute is launching a fundraiser raffle featuring a handmade guitar made by professional luthiers Gary Zimnicki of Zimnicki Guitars and Jeffrey Kline. Raffle tickets are 1/$5 or 5/$20.

Gary Zimnicki is a world-renowned luthier (Guitar maker) from Allen Park, MI. Gary has been building guitars, mandolins, and ukuleles since 1979. In 2011, he began crafting instruments from wood removed from houses in Detroit. These exceptional instruments pay tribute to the history of Detroit and the craftsmen who built the homes. The acoustic guitar to be raffled has a sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, with a triple O body style. It values over $4,000. It will also be on display at the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute, where tickets can be purchased in person.

The raffle winner will be drawn at the 2026 Wood Design commencement ceremony in the Adrian Tobias Center on the campus of Adrian College. The winner will be drawn on May 30th at 7 pm. This fundraiser will raise funds for the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute.
