Enrollment Growth Project
The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute (SBWI) is launching the Enrollment Growth Project, a $16.18 million Phase 1 initiative to expand capacity, add new programs, and build a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient facility. This project will allow SBWI to grow from 20 to 60 graduates annually within 4 years and increase Continuing Education (CE) enrollment by three times, with a long-term goal of 200 graduates per year.
Financial Projections
SBWI’s financial model demonstrates feasibility and sustainability in worst-, most likely-, and best-case scenarios:
Revenue growth from $1.4 million to $2.86 million.
Profit margins ranging from 11.33% to 33.37%.
The fully owned facility will lower operating costs through geothermal heating, solar technologies, and energy-efficient design. Supported by state agencies, universities, and local organizations, the project is a strategic investment in education, sustainability, and economic development.
