Adrian College and Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute Announce Comprehensive Educational Collaboration
Adrian, MI — Adrian College and the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute (SBWI) proudly announce a comprehensive partnership designed to enrich higher education through the fusion of hands-on craftsmanship and academic innovation. This exciting collaboration aims not only to enhance Adrian College’s pre-architecture program with a design-build curriculum but also includes potential developments in business, art, career and technical education (CTE) teacher training, and other disciplines, offering students unparalleled opportunities to apply classroom theory in practical, real-world settings.
Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking emphasized the broad scope of this partnership, stating, “With the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute now joining as a fourth college in this town, our students will have a unique chance to integrate academic knowledge with essential hands-on experience across multiple fields.”
Luke Barnett, Founder and President of SBWI, highlighted the significance of this collaborative effort, noting, “Our partnership with Adrian College opens an exciting new chapter for both institutions. Since initiating our flagship college program in 2020, our commitment has been focused on delivering career-centered, experiential education.
