Dive into the world of Mid-Century Modern design and create your own custom table inspired by the iconic style that revolutionized furniture design in the 20th century.

Class will involve a series of drawing exercises that lead up to sketching multiple table ideas. Basic table design and joinery will also be discussed.

Students will build a quarter scale mock up and start honing in their table design. Instructors will work closely with students to help them create a detailed plan for building their table, from material selection to construction techniques. Students will learn how to make their own unique templates for curved bases and table tops. They will also be shown how to use these templates for template routing in order to create clean and consistent components.
